Diana's Design Team Reveal!

Our last November Design Team reveal is by Diana! Diana worked with a combination of the new October Afternoon Report Card collection and the Scrap Within Reach Paper Boy collection. It is always nice when you can mix and match across manufacturers and these 2 lines worked very well together.

Diana did a fabulous job showcasing them and showing that just because a line has "boy" in the title...doesn't mean it is only for boy layouts. Her girl layouts turned out just as adorable as the boy ones - great job Diana!

We did it!

Well, I did it! I finally finished setting up our {SAS}sy Twitter and Facebook accounts. There’s not much on them but they are set up…and that’s the first step, right? It makes me laugh that I procrastinated on these for so long - yet back in college I had no problem bungee jumping.

We plan to use both of these sites to announce sales & promotions, events, crops and even some fun giveaways here and there.

Misty's November Design Team Reveal!

Time for another Design Team reveal. This one is by Misty who also used one of the new November {SAS}sy Kits for her supplies! Misty created some wonderful layouts with her supplies. One of the things I love about Misty's work is she always creates fun embellishments with the paper from her kit. She inspires me to use my Cricut Expression and die-cutting systems more. I always am eager to see what she has 'created' from a simple sheet of paper.

The {SAS}sy Crate Paper Kit is a beautiful mix of the new Crate Paper Seasons collection and the Bella Boulevard Camped Out collection. I was surprised at how great this 2 lines worked together. This kit is a great fall line that is not only beautiful in person but also extremely versatile - as Misty will show you with her layouts.

{SAS}sy Scrapbook University has started!

If you missed our kick off lesson, we are currently teaching SSU classes. SSU stands for {SAS}sy Scrapbook University and these are free classes we offer to members of our message board. This round we will be focusing our classes on affordable decorations and gift giving ideas. Everyone loves a handmade gift and with the holidays approaching quickly, what better way to kick off the holiday season than to give a gift you've made.

To participate, simply register for on our message board, introduce yourself and get acquainted with our site. We'll be posting a new class every 3 nights through December 15th. We've picked some great classes and think there is something for everyone in this series of SSU. We've already posted 3 of our 11 classes & there is still time to join us - we leave the classes open until 12/26 so you have time to participate and catch up.

November's {SAS}sy Scrapper Guest Designer!

A few months back when we had our Design Team call and JJ earned a Guest Design Team spot! We are thrilled to have JJ designing for us this month, this is such a talented designer and I'm a big fan of her work! Please enjoy a little about JJ and her November Guest Design Team debut!

"My name is JJ, and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. For those who didn't do any better in geography than I did in school, I'm about one hour north of Plattsburgh, New York. My husband and I were married in 2001, in a costumed, Renaissance wedding (there’s my weird fact for the day). We have a four year old boy, and a one year old baby girl. My kids are the reason that I started scrapbooking. I resisted the hobby for many years, because I knew it would be addicting. No surprise - now I'm firmly hooked!

I've been crafting in one form or another since I was big enough to hold a crayon. Sewing was my biggest obsession, and I go back and forth to that still, as the muses strike, but it's kind of taken a backseat to the scrapbooking. And I'm OK with that. I mostly scrap 12x12, but I dabble in other formats. My style would best be described as ‘eclectic’ – some days I like clean and simple, other days – not so much. Lately my style has been trending towards more distressed and grungy.

As you may have already realized, besides Scrapbooking – some of my other addictions are Starbucks, Sushi and Styx (classic rock). But not all at the same time - Peppermint Mocha and Spicy Scallops just don't mix. (Styx is, of course, perfect with either.)"

For JJ's Guest Design Team supplies she received a fun combination of the new NEW SEI Moravia collection and some papers from the Dream Street Papers Sam collection. If you haven't seen the new SEI in person it is to die for! This line is packed with foiled accents, luscious velvet papers and even some awesome die-cut papers! JJ created some beautiful layouts with her supplies, they are all so wonderful it's really hard to pick a favorite. So without further ado, please enjoy JJ's Guest Design Team Reveal:

Make it Merry Adornit Blog Hop!

Welcome to Scrap Attack Scrapbooking! Regardless of if you are new to our site or a current follower, one thing we all have in common is our love for scrapbooking & paper crafting. It's exciting how much this hobby has grown since we first opened out doors. We're excited you'd joined us for the Adornit Make it Merry Blog Hop! I started out scrapbooking...then made a few cards...and eventually dabbled in altered items. I'll admit, I don't alter things as often as I wish I did but when I do, I really do have a nice time. It's so fun to start from scratch and see where you end up.

One of my favorite things to create are these fun Wood Home Décor items by Adornit! There are a bunch of styles to pick from but my favorite ones are the candy containers - must be the big sweet tooth I have.

Pam's October Design Team Reveal!

The weather here lately has been chilly, not quite that snow cold, but still chilly. So Pam's Design Team Reveal this month seems so fitting. Pam worked with the new SEI Wintersong line did a wonderful job designing with this line. This line is much more beautiful in person - what you don't see online is that this line is packed with velvet flocked papers, foiled papers and even some glittered accents - it's truly stunning! The mix of red's, blue's and white is very refreshing.

Misty's October Design Team Reveal!

Jumping on to another great Christmas line, we've got another treat in store for you. Misty worked with a combination of the new Jillibean Soup Grandma's Christmas Crab Soup collection & the Scenic Route Garland collection. I loved that these 2 lines worked so well together.

Misty did a fabulous job working with these 2 lines and amazingly created a non-Christmas themed layout. It's always great with a themed line is not restricted to 1 theme only. And what about those adorable handmade red flowers on the Butterfly Kisses layout...ah...aren't they gorgeous??

Peggy's October Design Team Debut!

There are so many beautiful Christmas lines on the market that this month I decided to jump to ahead to winter and have our design team work with some of the newest holiday themed lines.

Peggy worked with the new SEI Christmas Mint collection. This line is packed with foil, glaze and sparkle - I just adore it. This line is wonderful for scrapbook layouts and just as awesome for your holiday cards. Peggy did a wonderful job showcasing all the beautiful elements to this line, each of her layouts is practically a masterpiece! Peggy has a knack for adding small little touches to her work that make you go "ah, love that!"

October Haunted {SAS}sy Kit Winner!

Once upon a time, long before scrapbooking...I used to love sewing professionally made Halloween costumes! It seems like so long ago but there was a time all I did was create fantastic costumes for my friends and family. And then I found scrapbooking and never looked back.

I loved reading all your sweet comments about our October Haunted {SAS}sy Kit and hearing about the coolest costumes you have ever seen! In the spirit of sharing, I thought I would share a couple of my favorite costumes!

One year I made this Carmen Miranda costume, it was hilarious! I do have to admit the fruit on my head was a little heavy so after a few hours at work, my head was throbbing.! But like a good pair of heals, it was well worth it. {wink!} Another favorite costume I made was this Elvis one. I don't know if I liked the wig best or the funky boots but it was another costume that ranks in my top 2! I hope you enjoy and thank you again for sharing your favorite costumes with us.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is excited to join in the efforts to raise awareness. Anyone can get breast cancer - for example, did you know…

• The older a woman, the more likely she is to get breast cancer?
• White women are more likely to get breast cancer than women of any other racial or ethnic group?
• African American women are more likely to die from breast cancer than white women?
• Men can get breast cancer? (Although it is rare.) Less than one of every 100 cases of breast cancer in the U.S. occurs in men.

The best way to find breast cancer in its earliest stages is to routinely check your breasts for signs and symptoms of the disease. Awareness and education is the key to fighting this horrible disease.

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is excited to announce that we will be donating $1 from every sale made in the {SAS}sy Store from October 15th – October 31st to the Susan G. Komen Foundation! Help us raise money to find a cure and also support the wonderful {SAS}sy Store that you all know and love!
